What is a satoshi?
A satoshi, often shortened to sat, is one hundred-millionth of a bitcoin. One bitcoin equals 100,000,000 satoshis. Sats and satoshis mean the same unit.
How do I convert satoshis to Bitcoin?
Divide the number of satoshis by 100,000,000. For example, 10,000 sats equals 0.0001 BTC, and 1,000,000 sats equals 0.01 BTC.
How much is one satoshi in US dollars?
Divide the current USD price of one bitcoin by 100,000,000. For example, at a hypothetical Bitcoin price of $100,000, one satoshi would be worth $0.001. This example is not a current price quote.
How many satoshis can I get for $1?
Divide 100,000,000 by the USD price of one bitcoin. At a hypothetical Bitcoin price of $100,000, $1 would equal 1,000 sats before fees or spreads. Select Fiat in the calculator to estimate using the latest available rate.

How often are the prices updated?
The page checks for available prices every minute. Satsman’s shared price service caches provider rates for approximately five minutes. The calculator shows the provider retrieval time and flags older rates; some non-USD estimates use cached foreign-exchange rates.
Do I need an account to use the sats calculator?
